Dr. Sam R. Gharib is a Board Certified endodontist and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Gharib is an expert in endodontic diagnosis, a root canal specialist, an endodontic retreatment specialist, and a root end surgery specialist. He is a highly sought after endodontist known for his superior clinical skills, gentleness, compassion and honesty. Dr. Sam R. Gharib received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL. He trained in hospital dental medicine for one year in a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. After spending one year in private practice, Dr. Gharib felt the need for call of service. He joined the US Navy and was able to serve tours at the Great Lakes Naval Base, IL, in Japan and at Bethesda, MD. During his Naval career, Dr. Gharib was selected for the highly prestigious endodontic specialty program at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD. In addition to earning his Specialist Certificate in Endodontics, Dr. Gharib also earned a Master of Science degree from the George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Gharib has 25 years experience as a dentist and endodontist.
